For this challenge we were to use a color combination that weÂ’ve never used before. I chose to use ALL the 2011-2013 In-colors as my color palette. We were also to use a special sketch to create our card.
This card is pretty straightforward. Here are just a few tips. Stamp kites on whisper white card stock and cut out. Lay out the kites how you want them first and put a pencil mark just below each bottom point. Next use a stamp-a-ma-jig and embossing buddy to align and emboss the kite tails onto the Pool Party card stock. Attach two dimensionals to each kite back. Adhere the bakerÂ’s twine onto the kite backs before adhering them to the card. Next pierce the spot where you would like your brad to go. Push the brad through, but do not complete tighten it. Wrap each piece of twine around the brad once and then tighten. Trim the ends of the bakerÂ’s twine.
Supplies: Stamps: Send me Soaring; Paper: Just Add Cake; Card Stock: Lucky Limeade, Pool Party Textured, Whisper White; Ink: Island Indigo, Calypso Coral, Wisteria Wonder, Versamark; White Embossing Powder; Embossing Buddy; Heat Tool; Lucky Limeade Designer Print Brad; BakerÂ’s Twine: Island Indigo, Calypso Coral, Wisteria Wonder; Dimensionals.
