Hello everyone...happy weekend. Hope you're all decked out, festive inside and out! What a great site you chose today, Anne. I loved the rustic look and feel to the objects de art. So so many cool things there...but it was this driftwood mirror that sparked my creativity this evening.
This mirror has so much texture and I love the reflection within. So my challenge was to create that reflection using my gorgeous '60's lady dressed for a lunch date at one of the downtown department stores. She's checking her reflection one more time before she heads out the door. I used mirror paper underneath the shell mirror (Stamp Francisco). My lady is a B Line Designs named 'Anticipation'. I dressed her with Basic Grey houndstooth from the Figgy Pudding group. Pearls for her buttons and a hand dyed silk ribbon made into the flower on her hat.
I'd love to hear what you think about the Oscar Wilde quote: One should either WEAR a work of art or BE a work of art. I say we are fortunate WE can do both!
Thanks so much for commenting...and I am hoping your weekend has some artful time, just for you.

Oh, Susan, I sooooo get this:) And so do you!! Your style and uniqueness on paper is so plain to see. I would LOVE to wear this wonderful outfit you've created (I was just looking at a houndstooth jacket yesterday while I lazily browsed the shops of a small town with a good friend:) I LOVE how you recreated just a touch of her outfit catching the mirror. You think of the most amazing little details to catch our eye and delight our creative hearts. What a wonderful and fitting sentiment...

Fabulous Susan! I always love the descriptions of your cards, so awesome to hear about your creative process. The reflective mirror paper is the star here, it totally draws your attention. It's absolutely brilliant the way you showed the reflection of the dress on the mirror!! What a wonderful creation! Thanks so much for joining me this weekend for the IC!! Have a wonderful Christmas my friend!
