This week our teapot is a Santa Star with a peppermint candy cane handle. I don't have much in the way of Santa images, so off to the internet I went. Heck, I went there for the star too, but changed my mind after the two wouldn't fit on a card.
Here I used the star ef. I made 2 sheets and cut the bigger stripe from each one. Then I did the corners of one sheet. Though Santa covers most of it, I was going for a candy cane look.
The Santa is from an on line coloring book, (RaisingOurKids.com) this one makes me think of my Grandma, as it would be one she would use. I colored Santa with Prisma pencils, using a cotton swab and my finger to blend.
Santa sure has a sparkle in his eyes, as I used itty bitty crystals there. The fur trimmed hat is done with the cotton stuffing you get in pill bottles, there's a little bit of glitter on it, but you can't see it here.
At first I had planned to use hand cut holly leaves and berries, but I remembered that I had these pieces in with the Christmas stuff (much better than hand cut).
I actually like how this turned out. My coloring is decent for a change. Dh says this isn't really my style, but he likes it too! This card will more than likely go to the DGS, though I'm debating between this one and a snowman family.

That cotton is perfect - as is the twinkle in Santa's eye. And the star embossing folder and your peppermint stripe - you've got it all covered here.
I only remembered about my box of Christmas bits this week!! Bit late, with all my cards made except for any I'm making for challenges.

Love this! Your stars and stripes are the perfect backdrop for Santa, especially in the delightful diagonal layout that you used. The fur trim is fun and wonderful...sweet card.

What a fabulous Santa, Jennifer - this is the Santa of my childhood, it brings back memories of coloring - oh, how I loved to do Christmas pictures - you've done him beautifully and the layout is striking - love the embossing and the fluffy hat!

This card is so darn happy! I just love, love, love it! What fun it is...so bright and cheerful! You always manage to come up with just the right card for the challenge....even without stamps! I like it very much and I think it will make anyone jump for joy at the mailbox! The the star cuttlebuggin too!
