Congrats to Peggy! I always enjoy her wonderful gallery and super sweet comments! Today, I picked Non Trad CC to case. I kept the snowflakes and colors but changed mine to a birthday card and used a sentiment instead of an image for the main element.
I also used a couple of different techniques on this. For the bg, I used Bev's wonderful Embossed Embossing from the SCS resources and also TLC160 Cuttlebug Negative Effect. I used a frame embossing folder on some mint green c/s and before I ran it thru the embossing machine, I rubbed sky blue ink over the flat side of the embossing folder. I like the mottled, varying colors it gave me. When it dried, I used a VersaMark pen on the raised design and heat embossed w/ white powder. The snowflakes were also white embossed in the corners.
I stamped the DRS Designs (Nestie friendly) Oval Design Cut out, added some color w/ markers and die cut it using a lg petite oval die. The greeting was die cut w/ a sm petite oval and attached on top. I had some leftover white embossed polka dots, so I just stamped the greeting on top. The finished card is 5.50 x 4.25.
Thanks so much for looking! Close ups are on the DRS blog. My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them. But you can still view it on the DRS Blog linked above.
