This is for a friend who is going through a world of emotions lately. I made a wonderful mix of songs to let her know how many people are praying for her and focusing on her return to better health. It is so important to be positive!
I was inspired by the color challenge this week to make a cd case for her, and since pink is the symbolic color for her fight, PINK IT IS!
Did the rock and roll technique on the U with the orange, then used little pieces for the flowers in orange and pink. White gel pen to highlight the center of the flower.
The background of the cd case is just whisper white cs with several backgrounds. The top has canvas, just jeans and print pattern. The bottom half has just jeans, canvas and the flowers from little pieces and all about U. Sentiments are in basic black. Did some sponging on the edges with .... daubers....
this is the cd case template which I have finally perfected. It is one piece of cs and forms a pocket. Very neat and so simple!
I dyed a piece of mini ric rack with daubers and the ink pad, tied it around the U!

OK, I never thought to use the daubers to hold the ribbon in the ink pad (silly me was going to buy gloves...) -- thanks for that tip!! This project is adorable. Love all your backgrounds combined.

I agree with everyone elses comments -- this is really nice. This would brighten the darkest of days, and the thought you put into this will mean a great deal to her. Beautiful!
