I love Anne's card - the texture, the simple and clean lines, and everything else. I thought the canvas part looked like a rug so decided that I would use some burlap looking paper in my scrap pile and make it look like a rug. It took forever to cut around those little string looking things. Then I put it on my first card base which was long. I needed more so I added gems, put on some flourishes, and it still didn't look right. I left it for a few days and then decided to take it off the base. I have no tape right now so I have been gluing everything - taking this little rug off a paper it had been glued to was a total adventure! Oh well, you live and learn.
I used this sentiment in honor of my good friend Samir Paul. Samir likes to talk about life and interesting ways to look at it - which is so wonderful. The other day we were talking about the mountains and valleys in life, and I mentioned this stamp that I have. I forgot to tell him that a 6 year old said it - kids are so smart sometimes!!
I think this sentiment is one of the wisest out there. I watched Joel Olsteen on Sunday. He said we need to praise God when we on the mountain, in the valley, climbing the mountain, or falling down in the valley. Praising at all times is the only way; this is is so true and something I need to do more of every day and in every situation
Have a blessed day and extra hugz to all you who are current climbing, falling, or stuck in that valley!!!!

Well, Sis, ya fooled me on this until I read your recipe - I thought you stamped on burlap!! Faked me out good since you put the fringe on and it really LOOKED like burlap!! But it sure made a great rug!!! Your creativity is smokin'!
Love your take on the roller coaster ride - the hills and valleys are all there - we just have to pray our way thru them and trust in God!

Nancy, I really thought this was burlap. What a great job with this wonderful card and sentiment. I don't know if I'm climbing or falling today...a mix of both. So, I'll just keep praising HIM whichever it is.

So pretty - I thought you had stamped this on burlap. How true is that sentiment. Thanks too for the reminder to be praising God in whatever situation we find ourselves. It's sometimes so much easier to complain. Your compassion for others is evident - thanks for that.

You get extra points for cutting the "stream looking things" Nancy! This is incredible and I love how you made the card more simplistic which goes perfectly with the theme. What a great sentiment and so true. What a wonderful way to honor your friend. Sis, you did REAL GOOD!!!! Funny, your Mom is 77, mine will be 78 next month and another punchie said her mother is that age too. And, then there's all the middle names of "ANN". Guess we all came together for a reason. Hugs!

The fact that this paper looks like fabric amazes me!!! That must have been a lot of work cutting around the edges. You needed those Martha Stewart scissors for that...lol
I love this sentiment and it is so true. What a beautiful expression of Faith in your post.

Oh Ms. Nancy, you are so sweet. What a great card. I think the sentiment is pretty darn special coming from a kid. I bet your friend thoroughly enjoys the beautiful CAS styled card.
