It mostly started when Nelson and Norman went shopping together at their favorite store, the Snowmen's Warehouse. They were kind of hot and tired, and Norman was insisting that Nelson should buy this scarf and hat with the sissy coral color. Nelson kept saying REAL SNOWMEN don't wear CORAL, but Norman kept insisting he should buy because he needed to get in touch with his feminine side, so after enough peer pressure, Nelson caved. He has sort of resented it ever since. So who knows what it was that finally caused the camels back to break, but next thing they knew, snowballs began to fly, and Norman HAD to lose Peep and Cheep or some one was gonna get hurt. As you can see, Norman ended up hiding behind a tree! You have to understand the difference between these two "kindred spirits". They do have alot in common but they have their differences too. If you went to Norman's igloo, you would see a plaque on the wall that says "Make LOVE, not WAR" and another one that says, "Love is the ANSWER" ......while NELSON, has a plaque on HIS igloo wall that says, "You can have my snowball, when you pry it out of my cold dead hands" - He is a MAN'S man, a good ole' snowboy, and he does NOT wear CORAL. Why CORAL, is only a hop, skip and a jump from PINK. EEEEEKKKKK.....the thought of it just makes him shudder. Nelson can FIGHT. He is a snowball making MACHINE, and he is pelting them with passion -having learned his technique from his favorite movie, ELF. #A sidenote is that he can also BURP like no other which Norman finds quite offensive# So anyway.....poor Norman is trying to take shelter behind a tree, but the snow balls are so cold and icy they are blasting thru, and he is about to have his beautiful carrot nose broken....as you can plainly see! Cheep is frantically making Norman a super snowball to fight back with and cheering him on, with YOU CAN DO THIS, and stuff like that. Peep on the other hand is quite a chicken, and he is doing what he does best which is peeping. Nelson in the end realized that Norman really WAS a lover, not a fighter, and he stopped already. Norman apologized for talking him into CORAL, and he exhanged the hat and scarf for Nelson and he chose a nice houndstooth in black and white. All's well that ends well. Best friends forever, and all that. They let bygones be bygones. Nelson is willing to tolerate the sometimes less then musical tunes from Cheep and Peep, and Norman realizes that when Nelson comes to lunch, things like quiche and fruit salad probably should not be on the menu. They are adjusting, and learning to give and take. After all, that's what it's all about. Sometimes it's our differences that attract us to eachother in the first place, the old opposites attract, and then we find out how much we have in common after all. A true friend is closer then a brother. Love is all we need. Nelson even bought a new plaque for Norman, and that's what it says, "Love is all we Need". Cuz in the end, tis true, Love IS all we Need. Happy Tuesday everyone!!
