The challenge this week is to use White and/or cream, silver and/or gold, and one or two other colors on your creation. You may include neutrals such as brown or black too. All the details for the challenge will be on the blog this Saturday, Nov. 12th. Please use the keyword ODBDSLC84, so we can see your creations. This week I decided to frame a favorite picture from last year of my youngest grandchild, DariaÂ’s, first Christmas. I used an unfinished frame from MichaelÂ’s and painted it with 2 coats of satin cream acrylic paint, then made a small mat of gold to surround the picture. I stamped a large ornament from ODBDÂ’s Ornaments 2 (2011) in versamark, then embossed it in gold and cut it out with the SB 2011 Heirloom Ornaments nesties. Next stamped the verse from ODBDÂ’s Christmas Door on cream, gold embossed that and made a red and gold layer to make it stand out. My MomÂ’s stash is still getting use, as I bought out the red/gold ribbon, and made a border around the frame, put my Scripture in one corner and my ornament on the opposite corner up on dimensionals, and made some little gold holly leaves out of the gold paper with some red berries, and a layered oval with the year for the other two corners.
