There was an old woman (114 to be exact...)
who lived in a shoe,
She had so many Dawgs
she didn't know what to do.
She gave them some lettuce
without any bread.
She hugged them all soundly
and put them to bed.
This old woman was a Bus Driver
As sweet as can be.
She had a way with critters
As you can surely see.
She had to run
As they chased her down
Because, all critters
Want to live in Boxer Town.
A hydrant on every corner,
And a yard to roam so free,
This old woman surely
Made them dawgs sing “It's good to be me!”
At first there were four,
And then there were six....
With so many critters,
This Driver was in a fix!
She loved them all well,
And they loved her right back.
Now I must go, cuz Tiggy, the hubby
Is starting to pack!!!
Sissy, you are my Bestie. Thank you for all you have blessed my life with. LYMI, always will!
Happy Birthday Shirley!!!
Pssst...How many dawgs you got today?

So funny. That poor little "OLD" lady has no more dawgs today, you know she tries to out run them so they can't chase her home. The next one that comes here is being shipped to CA. Get ready, I am sure there will be a package out to you soon.
I love your card and the funny poem. Thanks so much for the humor, you silly nut. LYM.

Oh Pat what a perfect card for Shirt I bet you were giggling the whole time you were making it, I sure have a huge grin on my face looking at it "Borders Lane" and the picture of the Border Collies where did you get that from you are so clever sis and that poem would win prizes in any creative writing class. You can see this card was made with such love in your heart for Shirley it is a very special one off.

Now that I have finally been able to stop laughing, I can type my comment - this is a HOWL!!! It was funny enough to see the "Borders Lane " doggies, but then they each have their own fire hydrant, slightly hidden behind the gardens of roses, and your poem is such a riot, I had a time of it trying to read it through my tears of laughter - you are way too funny, and I can just see Shirt reading this, and feeling the love it was sent with!! You two are the best Besties I ever met!!
Ooops, your card is the DOG-GONE BEST ever!! Love all those special touches you added - all from the heart - just for Shirt!
Sure hope your Birthday was a hoot from start to finish, Shirley (sure-ly) LYMI, Goofy! Great card!! LOL

Fun, fun card, cute poem. I DO find this a little disturbing though. I just had a black bean chipotle burger with tomato, onion and LETTUCE! I sure hope this was not Boxer Town LETTUCE cuz it does grow low you know!

Wow! This is so cute. The card rocks, the poem rocks, and Shirley rocks. I am pretty sure Shirley does not feed her dogs lettuce, but I love how made that postcard fit perfectly into this story (or is it the story fit perfectly into the postcard - it is 5:00 in the morning on a Saturday so I am not thinking too good). Darling way to celebrate the bus driver's birthday - so creative and so memorable. LYMI!
