I used the inspiration of Dawn Olchefske's card and technique http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/ga...mp;ppuser=3070 to make this card for CAKath aka Kathy. Kathy is one of the warmest and kindest stampers that I have "met" on SCS. I was heartened that Mothermark had made Kathy our Tuesday destination as she recently lost her sister to cancer. She knows that she has been in my heart and prayers, but I wasn't able to play along last week. Sorry for the delay, Kathy.
I inked Penny Black Brushstroke Irises with markers, then misted them and stamped on Flourishes cream CS. Using Dawn's mosaic tile embossing technique, I stamped with Versamark over the image, clear embossed then sponged with Desert Sand and Rich Cocoa. Matted with Artichoke CS. Adhered some Japanese hand-made paper askew on a cream card, running the ribbon and trim under the paper. Applied the image panel with the MS punched border and tied the bow. Added the SU sentiment on a long scalloped rectangle nestie. Punched flower and branches, added pearls and done. PT - 9
If you know Kathy and have not yet done so, send some SCS lovin' her way: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/fo...9-post254.html
Thank you so much for looking. Thanks Dawn for the inspiration. Have a peaceful day.

Marie, this is so soft and lovely with the purples and greens. I did not know that Kathy's sister died. How sad. I know she lost and misses her mother so much, and now another family member. My heart aches for her. THanks for sharing this with us.
