Our challenge this time is to make something with our favorite Scripture. This verse from Phillipians reminds me not to worry about anything, and to trust that my Father knows what is best for me, when I pray for His help.
All the details for the ODBD challenge will be on the blog on Thursday, Nov. 3rd. Please use the keyword SNTODBD47, so we can see your creations. DonÂ’t forget to enter your card in the challenge on the blog.
I used a base of Soft Sky, with numerous sized shapes of Bayou Blue layered with Soft Sky DP, and in the last small area, used a small piece of the Bayou to emboss just the word, PRAY! My favorite - Phillipians 4:6 – is cut out with nesties, spritzed with Shimmery champagne, and then 2 layers behind it to pop it up. Then added some swirled pearls - made 1 ribbon flower with a pearl center and added some small flowers I purchased to finish.
This is also to celebrate Julie Warner as QFTD84 this week - I get inspiration from her gallery all the time, and wanted to do a card to honor her The card that I attempted to case is here though I changed a lot to fit the ODBD challenge also! Sue this card is so beautiful! I love your layout and soft blue and white design, and what I love most is the verse! (I guess you knew that since it was the verse I submitted for this set) but it is so meaningful to me right now. Beautiful card Sue! You are such a blessing to the team!!!

Just LOVE those subtly different background blue papers and how you used various sizes of the squares/rectangles for your each of them, and then you add those fabulous flowers and pearls (I love pearls on a card!!) - My favorite part, however, is how you used this awe inspiring scripture as a centerpiece with the very simple statement 'pray' next to it!! I think this is a powerful and beautiful card. Hugs to you.

I love the blues and those pearls Sue are yummy! There is nothing quite like a bit of blue in anything to just make you stop and catch your breath! And isn't that what not being anxious is all about? Recognizing our Lord is in control... What a lovely creation dear friend!

Completely beautiful in so many ways Sue! First of all, the verse- what an encouragement in any situation. The Word speaks, and you have presented it in a most beautiful way! Hugs...
