Well, Lydia...you certainly presented a challenge for this girl today. I really don't have a particular style...love CAS, love lots of layers, love vintage but don't really do or have a grasp of steampunk. So that was my challenge today.
Sure hope the steampunk police aren't around today 'cause I'm not really sure on this LOL...but here it is anyway.
I used a piece of Tim Holtz designer paper and dry embossed it with one of his embossing folders. Next the raised edges are sanded with a sanding block. Then three various images (gee whiz are these really steampunk?) were stamped on the background. Next I used a blender pen and marker and added some color to the wings.
Think this qualifies for the CAS challenge today too - ivory, chocolate and red.
Thanks for checking out my card...and my apologies to those of you who love and do the steampunk style so well!

Aren't you the brave one. Steampunk crossed my mind and very rapidly crossed out again, even though I have a clockwork ef. I think you have a great look going on here.

I am at a loss to understand steampunk. Whatever it is, you did beautifully, Polly. Your card is wonderful!

I don't know what steampunk is either but I do know I like the composition of this card and the images. To me, it has a very arty quality and I love the little details like the embossing and sanding. Kudos to you for stepping outside your box and trying something new (besides, you're good at it)!
