Here is my sixth card, made from this CAS sketch! Note that the label has some purple and blues but they don't show up very good in this pic ... go figure.
Today, my friend got some bad news re her daughter's pregnancy. She was very worried and when she told me, she got "choked up." I wanted to send her this card so that she will have a physical reminder that I'm thinking of her and that I care about her and her family. She loves shabby chic and beautifully paints and distresses furniture. I tried to make this card in that style ... a little shabby, distressing it with white chalk ink, as she often uses white paint on her furniture. NOTE: I would not recommend the cheap chalk ink. It's hard to work with to get an even coat and tends to smear and not stay a true white, or maybe it's me?!
Michael's card base and purple paper. I bought the label from an EB seller, yrs ago. The crinkle ribbon is from Etsy, the "pearl" button was actually on the string that held the bundle of ribbon together. I cut off the shank, sanded it with Tim's sander and used glossy accents to attach it. Cut two black + two light purple tags from a PTI die. I layered, then trimmed. Added the PTI sentiment, which I stamped a portion of, then trimmed and cut. Used Memories Alpine brown ink and JoAnn's white chalk ink.
THANKS for looking!
