The trees were done on glossy paper. I ripped the edges but felt the white clashed too much with the earth tone colors so I used a marker to color the edges dark brown. I haven't decided if I like this card or not.

You have a really great idea there! BTW, Distress Ink pads (non-SU and available at craft or scrapbooking stores), using a direct-to-paper technique, are made for just this sort of thing. I'd love to know how you got the colors of the Spectrum pad to bleed together like that. Does the glossy paper do that automatically, or did you use a brayer or something like that?
