I sat with my teeny tiny brush putting gesso on these tree branches and as soon as I finished I had an epiphany which can be kind of painful when your mind is cruising on blank. Anyway, my revelation was that snow SPARKLES and I should make the snow sparkle. So, I get another teeny tiny brush and start to brush pearl ex on top of the gesso. I finally finished and THEN I realized that the pearl ex was rubbing off and I needed a fixative of some sort. So, I went back with another itty bitty brush and put hair spray on it. Holy cow and now you can't even see the sparkle in the picture. Doing my dork thing today, I guess.
I sure did have fun, though!
Anyway, this is for SC355 as well as HYCCT1117. Thanks to Libby and Roxie for challenging my brain today.

If this is your dork thing...let me say, that is when you do great work. Love this beautiful card!

I am soooo glad you had fun with all that fiddly detail work!!! It turned out stunning. What a beautiful, peaceful scene. I love the tranquility that soft piles of snow on leaves adds.

Those of us who have never been dorks will leave the room. That means I have to stay!! I've been dorky all my life....then married a mathematician. What does that say about me??? I love your card, especially since it took three tries. the snow looks fabulous!

This is so beautiful! I have a hard time photographing "sparkle" of any kind! LOL! I feel your pain. I love all of the white and the different subtle patterns and texture are perfect without overtaking the focal image. Love this.
