I made three attempts at using Growth by Lawrence Yang for my inspiration, but I'm not happy with how they turned out, so they're sitting on my desk waiting to be recycled and instead I went with Anne's second thumb.
5 3/4" square base. I used glossy card and alcohol inks (Lettuce, Pesto, Citrus) to create an all-green polished stone background. I stamped the grasses over it with Forest Moss distress ink, and when it was dry I drew black lines round the edges.
The flower is Sizzix Daisy #3 cut from white card and sponged with ColorBox Pigment ink. The second layer is creased along the fold lines and popped up on foam. Centre is cut from a scrap of orange-toned DP, embossed with lattice folder and sponged with orange and brown inks. I shaped the edges slightly and used thin foam tape in the centre to give it more depth. Leaves and stem cut from a scrap of Bazzill, folder and stuck to the base.
Just have to decide whether to hold onto this or call it another entry for Victoria's paper-only HYCCT challenge and stick it in my shoe box.
