Hello Friends. Today over at the Mark's Finest Papers Blog the Speedy the Cat Challenge is "No Designer Paper". I decided to make this Halloween Tree for the Challenge.
Most of the items on this tree have been re-purposed. The clay pot, dowel rod, floral foam, floral fill, bow and plastic head pins were all from a project several years ago.
This was made as a thank you gift to give to a nice young man and his family for working on my old computer. I thought his wife and two girls would get a kick out of it and they could all enjoy the candy.
To make this project I used the Sizzix Haunted Tree Die. It's turned upside down and pinned into the tree to look like twigs. The candy is all pinned into a styrofoam tree form I found at the Dollar Tree. I glued some K & Company Halloween die cuts I had in my stash on the candy bards. I used Mark's Finest Paper's Boo to You Stamp as I thought the "Eat, Drink, & Be Scary sentiment was perfect. Mark's Finest Papers fabric was used for the ruffle, the roses are from MFP as well as the twine I used to tie my tag on and the ribbon at the top of the tree. Spellbinders nestibilities were used for the tag and tree top.
I am making three of these altogether. Two I am giving to my sons to give to their girlfriends. Hope you enjoyed your visit today. Have a great weekend.
