Today's WT is bookmarks. I must admit I don't really use them - even with several books on the go I can usually remember where I was. But I 100% endorse the quote I found for my bookmark, and I'll probably give this with a book token.
I followed the card with a detachable bookmark tutorial from Resources - and goodness, a good perforator makes a huge difference.
Front was partially embossed with Diamonds in the Rough, and I used MFT's Reading Flopsey stamped on watercolour paper and coloured with distress inks. There's some Glossy Accents on his glasses.
For the bookmark I found a quote from Austin Phelps, typed and printed it, then sponged with distress inks. It's layered onto a page from an old book done with gesso resist using Faded Jeans ink and Print Pattern stamp. I added a tab and large eyelet at the top, and a scrap of ribbon.
I'd planned to decorate the front much more since I don't do ornate bookmarks that might damage the book - but I seem to have gone minimalist there too .

He, he, he, love your quote. Funny because I bought a new coat 2 years ago and noticed that I have been going more and more to the public library these days. Guess maybe Paris didn't help my book budget either. LOL
Just love your little reading flopsy guy! Well done with the bookmark and making me laugh out loud my dear. Peggy
Watership Down was one of my favorite books!!! I chuckled when I saw the title. Love your book bunny! Fab coloring and your bookmark - I agree wholeheartedly! Been there actually. ;) Your embossing and the altered book page for the bookmark are fantastic! GREAT project!

Love, love the sentiment. My daughter is a librarian and is always ten books ahead of me with recommendations. I need to make more bookmarks and this sentiment is perfect.
