First I cut an image panel from Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock with a Nestabilities die. I then layered the following dye inks onto the panel by sponging: SeaShells Conch Shell, Adirondack Sunshine Yellow, Adirondack Sunset Orange, and Distress Ink Fired Brick. This was to create the desert sky. Then I cut a piece of beige cardstock with the same Nestabilities die, tore and layered onto the sky panel to form the ground. I sponged the ground with Adirondack Latte dye ink and Vivid! Taupe dye ink.
I stamped the Outlines Split Layering Collage - Southwest two times onto Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock using Marvy dye black ink. I then proceeded to color and cut the adobe house, sun and gecko with Copic markers. I placed these images and pop-dotted them for dimension into the scene. I used a Prismacolor pencil for some ground shadowing by the adobe house. The gecko's eyes were colored with Tuxedo Smooch.
I then place this image panel onto a two layers of paper: a piece of patterned paper from The Paper Studio that was dry embossed with a Sizzix folder, framed by a piece of gold cardstock.
