The bird is a digital image and I stamped the small berry stamp from the retired Botanicals set around it with Memento Bamboo Leaves ink. I drew around the leaves with a Copic Multiliner 0.05. Sponged on some Distress Antique Linen and SU Soft Sky.
After all that I dropped an inked stamp up at the top and had to stamp a sentiment to cover it up. Don't ya just hate it when that happens?!!!!

OH - MY - GOODNESS!!! Your bird looks REAL and so does the branch! Becky, your inspiration could not be captured more beautifully or more spectacularly!! I'm sorry you dropped that stamp on it - but thanks for telling us, because it sure makes me feel better, that I'm not the only one!

I love the saying "A mistake is just an opportunity in disguise". And that is so proven with your "mistake". I think you did a great job turning the dropped ink pad into a perfect sentiment placement. And after all, it could have dropped right on the bird's little face. . .that would have been a much harder "opportunity" to see. Great job on this. Really love this digital image. Best, Curt

Beautiful, Becky! I would never have guessed your cover up scheme, lol. Happens to me all the time. On my card today (right next to yours) the whole reason my little sentiment oval is layered is because it was slightly crooked. So I cut it out and layered and put it back on straight.

Love bird images and this one looks so real...the branch looks 3-D! You'd never know about that dropped stamp...the sentiment looks like it belongs there! That's what I love about this craft...there's always (well...almost always) a way to fix a smudge! Ask me how I know! LOL! Love this card, Becky!

Oh your bird is delightful, Becky. I know exactly where your inspiration came from. I love the leaves althought it must have taken you forever to color all of them.

That bird looks REAL...fabulous coloring and sponging on this...and some of my stamping mistakes have turned out to be great cards and no one's the wiser...;) Whoever receives this card will undoubtedly feel better just by looking at it!
