I have been away from the challenges on SCS for some time now due to a very hectic work schedule. How I have missed all of the wonderful cards and the friendly banter among everyone in the community! I signed on the other day to see who had been named QFTD and saw Holstein! I just couldn't resist going through her gallery and selecting a card for this challenge! This is the one I chose: QFTD68 Thank-you by Holstein at Splitcoaststampers This card caught my eye weeks ago when she posted it...and it was actually a CASE from Roxie's gallery for another challenge but I wanted to use this card because Linda does the most beautiful black and white cards! Hmmm, black and white...cows....any connection? LOl! I didn't have the embossing folder used so I had to just use my score board and double the width of the score lines. The biggest challenge for me was making a chicken look good in black and white because you KNOW I have to use my chicken stamp set for the QFTD challenges!!! Anyway, congratulations Linda! What a wonderful selection for Queen for the Day....sorry this is sooooo late!

Glad your schedule has lightened up a bit. I adore this chicken and this card is soooooo cute!!!! I am glad you use chickens on your QFTD cards -chickens just don't get enough attention you know? My parents live next door and their 3 chickens just had some little babies hatch out and they are running all around the yard - it is the cutest thing!!!

Fabulous card! I love the little chicken footprints at the bottom and the pearls on the crown, and how clever to double the width of the scoring--never thought of that before.
