I guess as parents, we don't really think we will outlive our kids, especially when we get to be 84. This card was to encourage an older lady who had lost her daughter to cancer. Judy had worked for years in my former in-laws paint and decorating store and was a tiny little spitfire who battled thru 3 bouts of the foul disease before succumbing. Our like faith will ensure a future reunion, but loss is still loss and grief comes in different measure according to how close and loving the relationship was.
