This photo simply can't do this technique justice. I used real onion skins and Mod Podge, thanks to Michael Strong's technique: http://strongstamps.blogspot.com. I only had high gloss Mod Podge with sparkle, so this card really shines. I think I'll try one with low gloss, this technique is just awesome! The leaves are cut from a Dollarama wreath which add nice autumn colors.

This is awesome - I've checked his blog - can you let me know where he gives the specifics - are you just mod podg'n the skins on to make a collage? I'm assuming you mod podge a layer over the top to seal the skins . . .any onion smell?!!

I love it..my dear friend told me this could be done, but seeing your artwork with the onion skins shows me it is just stunning. Love the background for the leaf.

Here is the direct link to Michael's specs: http://strongstamps.blogspot.com/2010/09/onion-skin-card.html I just love his work and had to try this technique. No smell at all -- I left the skins out to completely dry out for a few days. I used spray adhesive on the card stock, but I think white glue would be better -- it will get into the grooves and pockets much better and probably produce a flatter background. I used Mod Podge for the coating and sealer. (Love your Kitchen Window Leaf card btw.)
