It's the first week of back-to-school and we're FINALLY having a week of actual summer weather here in north-central BC. So I wanted to make a summery card to celebrate! I was inspired to use this stamp set for the shoes CAS challenge this week, and I wanted to use this torn paper technique for making 'sand' that I saw my demo do. I was going to use Sahara Sand, but oddly enough River Rock is a much sandier colour, I think. At least it reminds me of the colour of the sand in Maui...ahhhh...(thinking back to our honeymoon there)
This card is going to my sister for her birthday. The sentiment fits, since she lives far away and I really wish she was here! On the inside of the card, I wrote "Wish I was too!"

Glad you're having good weather. Great card! I like your torn paper "sand," distressed edges and the flip flops standing up in the sand ... I've only seen flip flop images that are horizonal (layout down.) Cool!
