It's the first week of back-to-school and we're FINALLY having a week of actual summer weather here in north-central BC. So I wanted to make a summery card to celebrate! I was inspired to use this stamp set for the shoes CAS challenge this week, and I wanted to use this torn paper technique for making 'sand' that I saw my demo do. I was going to use Sahara Sand, but oddly enough River Rock is a much sandier colour, I think. At least it reminds me of the colour of the sand in Maui...ahhhh...(thinking back to our honeymoon there) :)
This card is going to my sister for her birthday. The sentiment fits, since she lives far away and I really wish she was here! On the inside of the card, I wrote "Wish I was too!"

Glad you're having good weather. Great card! I like your torn paper "sand," distressed edges and the flip flops standing up in the sand ... I've only seen flip flop images that are horizonal (layout down.) Cool! :)
