Instead of paying dues to my church choir this year ($1 a month!), I offered to make the birthday card the choir would send out to each of its 40 members. This is the card I'm going to send out to women having birthday cards while it's still winter. I thought I would change the color pallet as the season changes. The men's cards will have a cooler color palet and a different background stamp for the middle panel.
The decorative brad was originally a pewter color, so I embossed it with gold and then rubbed on burgundy ink to help it coordinate better.
The burgundy classic ink was embossed in clear on the gold paper, because you can do that on the gold paper. It doesn't suck up the ink like regular paper.

Beautiful card! I love the colors and the background choices. I am getting this set this weekend and can't wait to play with it. I sing in two choirs and know the members would love to get these. It is nice that your choir sends birthday cards to members.
