When I saw Lydia's challenge to be as diverse as Texas with the state flag, I immediately started singing my favorite song. I think it was the very first song I learned all the way through and I've loved it ever since--The Yellow Rose of Texas. I have no idea why a New York born child would learn this song, but I did. So this is an inspiration challenge for me. I stamped the script background, masked off a rectangle, brayered pool party ink for the card base. I then inked an area on white with yellow and stamped over it and then cut out the flower head. I didn't have quite the right color of cardstock for the sentiment so I sponged yellow on white.

Well I'm a New York born transplant, and it's also one of the first songs I learned and loved. What a gorgeous card and a great tribute to the Great Republic!! Thank you for sharing it in my challenge!!
