I was so excited to see that today's challenge was to RECYCLE!!!! I'm such a big recycler of random stuff that my family doesn't even comment any more when I stick "trash" into my purse. Since so many people have colorful wedding invitations now, I've taken to making wedding cards using elements from the invites. That's what I did for some friends last Fall. Another trend I've noticed is REALLY late thank you notes....anyway, I just received a thank you note from the couple where she commented "shhh, don't tell; your card was the best." The thank you note featured the same colors they'd used on their invites and I cut out the side piece which has nice texture to it. I used the green from their color scheme and embossed it with Polka Dots. I sort of recycled the other elements too....they were found in my "reject file" of things I'd made for other cards that didn't make the cut. I stamped the greeting onto this large circle and put the card together.

You have such super ideas and I do understand sticking everything in your purse. I do the same. Speaking of weddings, I have been to a few lately that made cute little nut cups with grosgrain ribbons on them. If you stay later than some people you find lots of these tidbits left on the tables. No pride here.
