Well Connie Jo is out of commission for awhile...something about a knee ;). Because she photographs her card against her favorite tree, I thought that I would honor her with a tree. And wood texture. And another tree...
Stamped the tree from Branch out in Basic Brown, then the leaves in Memento Bamboo Leaves & Cottage Ivy and SU Green Galore. Sponged with green Galore. Cut a strip of brown ruched paper and partially matted with Garden Green. Ran brown CS through the TH EF that had been inked with Close to Cocoa (it gave a pretty cool 2 toned look IRL). Mounted all on a PTI cream card and added the nailheads and Sizzix Originals leaves. PT - 2 I used Roxie's wonderful sketch for my layout.
Feel better, Connie! Hope that your rehab is quick and that you are back to yourself again soon
Thank you so much for looking. Have a peaceful day.

Marie, today's sketch worked so beautifully with your card for Connie. Love your bark embossed bg with your spectacular tree. The coloring of it is wonderful. Connie is really going to appreciate your thoughtfulness.

This spring tree reminds me of the spring leaves coming out on the trees in the mountains!! I like how you have taken you photo using a tree as your easel!!

Hi there Marie! Oh, yeah, this is a great card to honor Con-air and her tree! Giggle! Your little tree is very artistic and its fun to see two of its leaves up close and personal! So sorry I was so late to greet.....with SCS being down yesterday, I wasn't as productive......
Thanks for sending this little card to Con-Air! I know it will tickle her!

What a fabulous job you did carrying on the tree theme for Connie - All that lovely texture makes me think of the bark on the tree she uses to take her pictures!! Just a great card and so thoughtful of you too!!
PS - PM me soon - we gotta start making some "plans" LOL - where in NJ are you??
