This card is for today's ways to use it challenge to use heat or an image that makes you think of heat. I chose the use heat route since I still have a beef with my heat gun on the embedded image technique. My heat gun is lazy and purposely sabotaged my other two efforts at this technique. Well, I'm not about to let that little machine get the best of me!
So I used a flower from tim holtz tattered florals dies and covered it with worn lipstick & barn door inks. Clear embossed about three times, and then stamped the heart image in versamark. I thought black would be a bit too dark for this so I used copper embossing powder. It doesn't show up as well in the photo here, but in real life it looks pretty!
I punched a small heart and covered it with the same inks and a couple layers of clear embossing powder - just to make sure that heat gun got a proper lesson!
Then just layered the flower, bow, and heart for my accent. TFL!

, I decided to have another go at this technique for the challenge today too. I had trouble with my copper EP, it just blurred compared to the other one I used.
What a gorgeous card, though - love the flower against that woodgrain panel.
