Hmmm - there are two failed techniques on this and I'm still not sure if I shouldn't have just binned it, but here it is anyway. The Stamping in Time challenge on ODBD is to use a doily. Well, doilies aren't me - the only reason I even have one to use is that somebody sent me a few on my birthday.
The base was a reject that I'd stamped with the leaves from Embrace Life, so I just sponged over it with Peeled Paint distress stain.
The next panel was my first attempt at the Tapestry technique. There's meant to be white stamping, but I used a rather dry pad and it didn't show much (second attempt was way more successful), but I liked the colours, so I just embossed it with the SU Lattice folder and kept it on my desk. The strip along the bottom is an unembossed offcut from my second attempt...
I stuck it to the card and added a line of white Liquid Pearls all around.
Folded the doily up and sponged it a bit.
Verse from Scripture Collection 6 stamped on white card with Broken China, cut with Spellbinders Mega Oval and sponged with Peeled Paint, and Wild Honey round the edges. I added Cuttlebug Vintage corners cut from Bazzill, and some tiny little butterflies punched from scraps of Bazzill, and popped the sentiment panel up on foam tape.

Two failed techniques, eh? You couldn't prove it by me... this is absolutely beautiful! The colors are gorgeous, and I love your layout with the butterflies flitting above. The fan folded doily is the perfect finishing touch. Well done!

I'm glad this pretty card wasn't binned! It is lovely, Sabrina, and the colors are pretty - delicate little butterflies - and, of course, the verse is awesome.

I'm not much for using doilies on my cards either, but you made it interesting, folding it as a fan! I love the colors of your 'failed tapestry'. No wonder you kept it! I love all the cute little butterflies.

SO HAPPY you did not "tank" this - what a gorgeous celebration of color this is - and the doily idea is genius!! Love how your swirls 'hug' the Scripture, this is perfection! - hugs
