My LSS had gotten in a bunch of beautiful new papers and asked me to make some cards to showcase them. This is one of the 2 cards I made with this beautiful dp from K and CO.
I wanted to showcase the pretty dp, but didn't want to cover it all up, so I made oodles of itty bitty flowers that would go over the flowers on the dp.
These flowers are all made with the Spellbinders Peony's smallest die. I then took a folded hand towel in my hand, and a stump and shaped each flower. I used white ink on a cotton swab to add a little shading to the inside of each flower.
I didn't have any green liquid pearls, so I used cream and added lettuce alcohol ink to get a nice green color for the flower centers. This was applied with a toothpick, with a little spot of black added on top. Of course this had to dry overnight.
Where ever there is an itty bitty flower is a flower on the dp. These are applied with glue.
To get this card to stand properly, I used the Spellbinders Floral Motif dies and dimensional adhesives. There's a green crystal in the center.
You cannot see it, but behind the flowers on the green panel, Thinking of you is stamped. The green panel is punched and scored.
