I'm more than happy to admire the beautiful and ornate bookmarks I see. But I love my books too much to put anything with much bulk in them, so my own bookmarks tend to be simple.
Hoping this also counts for this week's TLC challenge, to stamp the sentiment over the image. Although for the sake of easier positioning I stamped the image over the sentiment ;-).
I like the Mega Ovals for bookmarks, and they work so well with the long ODBD stamps so that's what I went with.
Stamped the verse with Versafine Olympia Green, stamped the sun, cut and embossed.
Cut the largest oval from creamy-yellow Bazzill, embossed with Floral Screen and inked with Pine Needles. Did the same with the tab punch.
I stapled some ribbon to the base layer and threaded it through a narrow slot in the centre of the tab punch, then folded the tab and glued it down.
For those who have noticed and commented on the leather-bound family bibles in some of my photos, this is the inside . I thought showing the lovely decorative capital letters would be more interesting than the illustration plates.

Love this gorgeous bookmark you made for your Bible, Sabrina!! This verse reminds me of the Irish Blessing as well, and in turn, reminds me of you! I love the style of bookmark you chose in this simple beauty. Your Bible makes a most wonderful setting!! TFS

I'm with you, Sabrina! If you're going to use a bookmark, it needs to be able to stay in the book without damaging either the book or the bookmark. This is the perfect bookmark to use in a Bible.

Awesome bookmark, Sabrina! I agree with the *idea* of keeping bookmarks flat, but I have a hard time reconciling that with my layer- and dimension-loving crafty self -- LOL! You nailed it with this design -- flat, but beautiful and interesting in every way! Well-done!
