I recently finished two pages about my DGDs painting some plaster figures in July 2010. My DGDs were over recently and painted some wood items. I was marveling at the improvement in their painting skills in almostly exactly one year. Patti’s challenge this week was to make a page with the phrase, “What a difference…” in it. So I made this page which includes that phase and will follow the other two pages in their album. I also added a star or two, which was the other requirement of Patti’s challenge.
I had fun with this one!
Journaling: Box 1: "I took you girls to Hobby Lobby to pick out a project to do while you were at our house for a few days. You both chose wood pieces that you could paint & decorate. You each painted your own pieces & did an awesome job--no kidding! I helped Mady tape off parts so she wouldnÂ’t get black on the blue. Jaycie carefully painted her box inside & out. When they dried, I put turquoise felt in the bottom of MadyÂ’s dresser and pink felt inside JaycieÂ’s box."
Box 2: "Mady decided on the little dresser with the mirror to use for doll furniture. Jaycie picked a nice box. After they were painted, Grandma applied the zebra paper and then you each decorated your pieces with jewels. Both turned out so beautifully, I was so proud of you!"
Box 3: "What a difference a year can make! Last July, Grandma took photos of you girls painting plaster animals at her house. Not only have you two grown so much, but your painting skills have improved too!"

Love this. I like that you picked a BG paper that reflected painting and that your colors matched their boxes. Like the different journaling boxes too. Great page!
