For my project, I’ve pulled out an older Basic Grey paper pack I have called Periphery. It was one of those purchases that I saw it in the store 4 years ago (8 or 9 releases ago!!!) and just HAD TO HAVE IT! I got it home, used a couple of the papers – the favourites always go first! – and then it has just sat on my overflowing paper shelf because I paid good money for it and the frugal voice in my head kept telling me I can’t be wasteful and I need to use it since I bought it. I couldn’t figure out how to use the rest of the papers in the pack because they really aren’t my style and so they sat.
One of the hottest trends in papercrafting this year is text used as a graphic. Many of the major scrapbook paper producers have lines of paper released this year with floral backgrounds and what looks like newsprint or a page of a book juxtaposed with big, boldly shaped graphics. It looks so cool, and I love having the latest trends in my crafting, but that same frugal voice tells me that if I use the paper I already own at the rate I currently use it, I will not run out in the next 10 years so I canÂ’t buy any more paper until I use what I already have. PHOOEY!
Where thereÂ’s a will thereÂ’s a way, and I love a challenge.

Beautiful! I feel the same exact way about my papers! Funny how addictions work isn't it. This is really lovely.
