HUGE congratulations to my friend, Julia (aka artystamper), on being chosen as this week's Queen for the Day! Julia, I don't know if there are enough adjectives to describe what a lovely, kind and talented person you are. I've long admired your beautiful creations.
I heat embossed my Embrace Life flower with black embossing powder onto vellum cardstock. I used sponge daubers to apply the various colored inks on both the back and front of the vellum and then cut out the flower. I did the same thing to the bamboo leaf image from this same stamp set, using it as my flower stem.
My vase was punched out of River Rock cs using SU's ornament punch. I sponged the outer edges with Pesto inks and applied a flourish of pearls to it. I also applied micro pearls to the flower.
I adhered the vellum flower and stem with Glossy Accents. Those parts of the vellum I did not affix the Glossy Accents to naturally lifted off the white cardstock creating the dimension I wanted.
Thank you, Julia, for the inspiration! Wear your well-deserved crown proudly!

Charlene,
This is really gorgeous and I am going to try this - as soon as I can find my vellum. I remember putting it on one of the CS shelves?! Anyway, your card is gorgeous and elegant and it's into my favs - like so many of your other cards!!

This is so beautiful Charlene. I have not embossed on vellum cs. I'll have to get some and try this. Your flower is so beautiful. It is slightly tilted to the side like it is saying "look at me" Hee Hee.
