I made this card for a one of my teachers who is having a baby and her last name is Byrd. She is decorating the little Audrey's room in pink and bird houses so I thought this aviary set would be perfect. I used the computer to customize a sentiment.
I was excited to try the "embedded embossing" and I absolutely love it! What a fantastic effect! I used a plaid piece of SU DP and it looks really cool in person, kind of like fabric. I felt like the card was flimsy so I mounted the card front onto a piece of WWhite cs for stability. I wanted the bird to have more prominence so I paper pieced him on top of the cage. The inside of the card has the aviary set with the momma and poppa bird looking up at the cage.
Sorry it took me so long to get the picture posted! She loved the card and I appreciated the idea from the challenge!
