For today's color challenge we are to use Pool Party, Wild Wasabi and Chocolate Chip. I thought of the beach right away but it took me most of the day to find a few minutes to put my idea on paper. I had this top panel already embossed with an oval cut out, so decided on a simplistic mini scene. The sand is Sahara Sand that is torn and inked with white ink and a little glitter. Stamped the tree in Wasabi and Chocolate Chip. Drew in a few birds and that's it. Really CAS today!
I had a friend in mind as I created this. He found out last week that his tumors are growing so he needs a little hope this week. This will be for him, so I kept it masculine, nothing fussy. Thanks for viewing and commenting. It feels so good to participate in a challenge again.

How lovely, Kathy. You really captured the beach in your oval scene. Love the torn edge with a little white highlighting and sparkle for the sand's edge. The raffia is such a great addition too.

Great card! Love the framed beach scene with the palm tree and glistening sand...it took me right there. I'm sure your friend will find great hope and comfort in this card.
