Hi everyone this is my second attempt at the color blocking. I've seen so many lovely cards, but I tried the markers on the block, misted with water and it doesn't work~so this time I just swiped a DI vintage photo ink pad directly onto the block and applied to the paper. I cut the paper into squares and glued onto some green checked dp. Stamped and heat embossed the sunflower, colored with copics and cut out. Add bronze glitter to the center. Added two buttons, twine and a little bee sticker. Mounted it on the yellow polka dot dp with foam squares. The card base is SU crumb cake. Thank you again Joan and Sue for a super challenge. TFL
Hugs Linda

This is awesome. I love how your blocks look behind that sunflower!!! I got the best results with this technique after I misted the block by leaving the block on my desk and putting the paper on top and pressing down instead of the other way around.

Linda - this is awesome. I love the way you did the blocks and I love that pretty flower! My parents live next door and this year they planted a whole side of their yard with a million sunflower seeds and they are all blooming - it is a sight to see. I love the polka dotted bg paper too - it brings out the yellow in your image so well. Great card.

I hope I don't double post a comment but I don't think my first one showed up. I love this sunflower and that block behind the image. YOur pd bg is perfect to bring out the colors in your card. Great job!

This looks so awesome. A little vintage, a little country. I didn't try the technique but suspect I'd have the same issues you did. However, you just designed around it- way to go.
