I'm not sure if this is colour blocking as Joan intended, but it's my interpetation. And I did use a block and distress inks to colour my strips, even though it ended up just looking like watercolour wash by the time I'd trimmed them.
I used Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Worn Lipstick and Dusty Concord. I trimmed the strips to size, punched the corners and then stuck them to a strip of card to hold them together. Stamped the image with Versafine Black, and then thought it needed something else so added a Chinese character from a Kodomo set.
Black stitching lines round the edge, popped it up on foam and added some silver Dew Drops.
Bedtime for me, after I wash the floors which I put on the long finger so I could make my earlier card . Don't want them coming back to haunt me tomorrow.
