This week our QFTD is Roxie (Rox71) who offers her time and talents to provide us with our weekly sketches.
As soon as I saw our new Queen was Roxie I didn't even bother to go to her gallery because I have quite a few of her cards in my favs!!
I spent a few hours Saturday afternoon with my demonstrator and used one of her new sets Field Flowers. I wasn't really making a card, I was just goofing around trying the two-step process with the new Wisteria color. I stamped the stem with Lucky Limeade and the flowers the Wisteria and Concord Crush. I left her house with my image and when I got home and went to my favs I knew exactly which card of Roxie's I wanted to case and my Field Flowers image was just perfect for it! I chose Roxie's Poppies card.
I colored in the leaves with Pear Pizzaz and then used Pear Pizzaz DSP for the second layer under the image. Mounted that and the flower image on Wisteria and mounted that to the Very Vanilla base. I didn't have a stamp to use around the image as Roxie did so I just used the Wisteria marker and printed Wild Flowers all around it.
TFL!!
Enjoy your reign Roxie!

Same story here - all I had to do was check my faves to choose a card of Roxie's to use for the QFTD challenge this week. Love what you've created - great image. Wonderful card.

Beautiful! Your printing of wild flowers makes a great border and I can hardly believe it's not a stamp. You're so consistent -- something I just couldn't manage!

Robin, this is gorgeous!! I love the flower in these colors, it's perfect! I fell in love with this set right away too. It is waiting for me on my desk but I haven't had a chance to stamp too much lately. Love what you've done with it here and the way you framed the image with the words. Very beautiful.
