This week's StampinB challenge hostess is Anne, jdmommy, who asked that we created a beach scene card, including real or stamped sand.
I opted to use real sand and crushed seashells for my easel card. I photographed my card totally open so you could see the inside. It actually would rest on the seashell on the inside of the card.
The large seashell, which looks and feels so real, was given to me by Stamp Muse who hasn't been able to be as active on the site due to her job. Thanks M! The fan seashell on the inside of the card is also from Stamp Muse. They were both made by K&C Company. I wanted to use my real starfish, but couldn't make it work with this for some reason.
I used the deco fan fold border and PATP punches b/c I think they look like seashells. Embossesd circles on the main sky blue panel, added a sentiment, twine and glued an array of real seashells on the front and inside. Popped up large seashell and mat on dimensionals. Hung a charm from the twine on sentiment die cut.
If you'd like to join in on the challenge, just click on StampinB on my signature line and make sure to put StampinB as one of your keywords. Hope you can play.
Thanks for taking a look and have a shell-icious day!

Love this easel card, Pamzi! Your goodies from M are divine. :p I sure miss her around here. I think you are right about that punch around the page looking like seashells. I have often thought that, too. Super job on the beach scene, my punchiez pal.

Real sand?! Real shells?! How totally and completely clever!! Love this fabulous card. I haven't made an easel card yet but just might have to give it a go.
