The Timeless Tuesday challenge over at Flourishes this week is to use the word "Friend" on your card. My card had enough going on that I only put just the one word on the front but a verse inside.
I tried a new technique that I wouldn't be so bold as to claim it as my technique but I've never seen it done before with paper. I stamped and coloured the flowers with copics and when they were completely dry I took a stylus to the back of the blossoms to give them a 3D effect. I tried to capture the 3D with the camera but it looks way more effective in real life.
The leaves and blossom were diecut from organza and velvet and the edges slightly heated to stop them from fraying.

WOWZERS Elizabeth! I could see the amazing texture of your hydrangeas in the thumbnail... it looks incredibly life-like, even though I've never seen a heart-shaped bloom. LOVE this drop dead gorgeous creation!
