PatSmethers issued the TSC0701 challenge in where we are to make a patriotic (Americana) card, red, white, blue. We were to think of something good about this country and express it on a card. Thanks Sissy! I loved this challenge!!!
My very first thought about something good in this country is my freedom to choose where I go to church and whom I can worship. Praise the Lord that I am FREE to worship Him!!!!! So many other countries do not have this awesome privilege.
I used the star EF and colored the stars with Not Quite Navy and Real Red markers for the bg. I did the same for the cross. Mounted the cross on a nestie die cuts and added the red half pearls. I used red stickles to outline the cross so that it stood out better against the white oval. The ribbon is Real Red.
What do you think?

LES!!!! Awesome just doesn't describe this one. How perfect that you used the stickles to outline the cross. It does make it stand out beautifully!

Beautiful card Les, an awesome idea and I love the explanation behind it. We are so fortunate to be able to worship freely in this country. Have a happy 4th.
