The current ODBD challenge is to create a thank-you card or gift. Since I just recently managed to find my perforator I decided to try the Card with a Detachable Bookmark tutorial from Resources.
My base is Bazzill. I stamped the image from Faith on Bristol Board and coloured with distress inks, adding Frosted Lace Stickles to all the wing tips. I stamped and coloured two extra butterflies from the image. The edges are sponged with Forest Moss, and then layered on Lacy Squares cut from white card.
Sentiment stamped on white card with ColorBox Pigment Merlot, lightly sponged with Forest Moss while still in the die, one butterfly added.
For the bookmark I stamped a verse from Scripture Collection 6 using the Merlot ink, punched the corners, sponged the edges and stuck it to the bookmark section. I added punched white borders down each side, and a butterfly. For the top I attached some ribbon to the bookmark and then added the Round Tab punch, cut from white card, embossed, sponged with green and blue. I cut a slit in the top and slid it over the ribbon before gluing it well on both sides.
I am very particular about not using bookmarks with any dimension in my books, which I value too highly, so I left it unadorned.
