Great sketch Roxie. Thanks for pulling this sketch challenge together week after week. Like you, I decided to use my new Poppies set from Mark's Finest Papers. Background is the old hymn "God be with you till we meet again." I ink-spray-smashed it. I did paper tole on the poppies and porcelain paper technique on the butterfly and Aleene's burnt glue on the centers of the flowers. It is hard to see in this photo, but the centers of the flowers kinda look like shiny smooshed raisins. In the days to come I am going to need several sympathy or thinking of you cards. This week there was a car accident near our town. There were several teenagers in the car, all were wearing seat belts and none had been drinking. They had been going too fast though and the 18 year old girl driving lost control of the car and hit a tree. Two of the teens died and the rest were seriously hurt. My two teenaged daughters and my teenaged son knew several of the kids in the car, and they were in drama activites together. The other funeral that is going to be hard is my family's adopted grandma passed away. She went to our church. She was 93. She gave birth to 13 children. She was just the sweetest little old lady. I am glad that she is with the Lord, but sad for the rest of us. Sorry for being so winded with this description.
