This week's Teapot destination is for Lindsay, a young 22 year-old woman originally diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma and undergoing a month long treatment of chemo. Since she won't be able to leave the hospital for the entire month, da Mudder thought it'd be nice if we not only made a card for Lindsey, but also send her a kit of the card we made so she can have some kind of craft to work on while she is in the hospital.
I colored my stamp directly with Zig Writers that I plan to send along to Lindsey so she can color her flowers. After I made this card, I realized I used a solid stamp, which wouldn't be helpful to Lindsey at all. Therefore, I stamped Penny Black's Watercolor Daisy for Lindsey so she can color it. I used a Thank You sentiment in case Lindsey wants to make thank-you cards she can send out when she feels better.
I also meant to run my ribbon behind my image panel, but I mistakenly glued down my image panel before remembering to do that. Ugh! I prefer using the Tombow glue for permanent adhesion, but it can pose problems when you make goofs you cannot correct.
I've discovered that as much as I love ribbon, I am terrible at knowing how to use it, and I have TONS of it in my stash. What's wrong with a person who buys beautiful ribbons but doesn't know how to use them right? Is that some kind of compulsive behavior? LOL!
Hey, Mudder! You got any no bake cookies this week? I luvs me da no bake cookies!

I like your combination of the texture folder with the dp and the decorated envie adds another level of interest. Lindsay will enjoy your kit I am sure!

Gorgeous, Bertie. I love the die you used. Not only are we gallery neighbors, but we chose the same type of flower. Ok, don't sling any food on me today, I have my best bib and tuckers on. (I think that is what they use to call dressed up in the olden days and yes that was before my time.)
