Proper Dress for the Kitchen: Jewelry should not be worn in the kitchen. Wear a cotton wash dress or a cover-all apron with a pocket for a handkerchief. Have a small hand towel that buttons on band of dress or apron. Have two pot holders fastened together with tape and attach to dress or apron. Wear washable cap that covers the hair.

Isn't that quote great?! This was one of Mom McClain's cookbooks, and, yes, she insisted on aprons in her kitchen. I made this thank you card for the hostess of our McClain family reunion in a couple of weeks, JoAnn C. Can you see her name on the chef's cap and her initials on the apron? I "personalized" it for the MFT guest designer contest. Wish me luck!

I always tape my potholders together and hang them on my dress, what are you talking about?! LOL! Great quote. I sooooo love your card - the paper piecing and the text in your oval, and I love the grey!
