F4A66 challenged us to take the "free" in "Free for All" literally and use something we got for free on our card. Last Christmas I was at a dinner with traditional Christmas crackers made out of all sorts of lovely heavy shiny patterned papers. When we were cleaning up at the end of the meal, I thought it was a shame to toss out all that lovely paper so I brought the best bits home. I used a piece with white polkadots on shimmery red as the middle band on this card.
I used a silver cs for my cardbase and punched a polkadot border and an oval out of a shimmery white cs. Then in the interests of recycling the little dots that came out of the border punch and echoing the polkadots on the red paper, I glued the little white dots at random to the silver cardbase.
A red sentiment and a bit of red cord to hold a white insert inside the card, and it's ready to go as a thank you for this coming Christmas.
