I know, what a lame title but this card comes with a story. But first.....thanks Rox for another great sketch!....now the story....
A couple weeks ago I went on a trail ride with DD so I had to buy some "cowboy" boots. I really liked DD's boots and asked where she got them. She told me to go to the Boot Barn because they had some really cute ones that were shorter and had "pink on the tops".
So off to Boot Barn I went. Told the sales lady what DD said and she took me right to them. Justin Boots, round toe and "pink tops". OH, DD told me to get a size 8 so she could wear them too. Problem was the 7 1/2 fit me to a tee. I came really close to buying her a pair too. Thank goodness I didn't.
When I showed her my pink topped boots she looked at me kind of funny and said, "they had ones with just a touch of pink on the tops". But don't get me wrong mom, those look just fine. Yeah right.
You know, when you wear jeans you can't really see the tops and I, not being a girly girl, am starting to like them. So you never know!
I made this card for my Sis, Connie Jo9. I shared a photo of me riding DD's horse, Max on Facebook yesterday and she says "I want to see the tops!" So today, I took a photo, cut them out and put them on my card. My bg was a technique I just saw on Stamp TV called distressed letterpress.
Well, sorry this is so long but didn't want you to think I am "really" crazy, putting a photo of my boots on my card. hehe......TFL :0)
Hi Sis! What do you think? Hi NC Sis!

This is just priceless! To think of taking a photo of your boots and turning it into a card...so very creative, Cathy! Your distressed letterpress bg definitely looks like it could be the top part of your boots - very cool!

I think your card is gorgeous! I am a sucker for cowboy boots. Being Canadian and not from the west (real cowboys) I have a pair that I love to wear with jeans. Love your story TFS.

How cool are these boots - they are like ropers on the toe, sole and heels, but regular cowboy boots on the shaft, and, pink! Personally, I think they are way cool, and your BG showcases them perfectly!! Awesome card, Cathy!
